Warren Buffett said he stopped giving money to the Gates Foundation.
His main reason is that his three children are ready to manage his money.
It is not because of Bill Gates' friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Buffett called Gates' friendship with Epstein "distasteful."
But he said everyone makes mistakes when they choose people.
He read about Gates and Epstein.
He noted that Gates ended the friendship.
Buffett said he will give all his Berkshire Hathaway stock to his family's foundations.
Gates was not surprised.
He visited Buffett in Omaha weeks before the announcement.
Gates called Buffett a dear friend.
He also called him one of the greatest philanthropists.
The Gates Foundation still has nearly $90 billion.
Buffett wants his shares given out by the end of 2034.
That is faster than he planned.
He will need to give over $17 billion each year.
Now he gives about $6 billion to his family foundations.
After his death, a new foundation will give out the rest.
His children must decide together.
Buffett broke his leg recently.
But he is getting better.
He believes Greg Abel is the right leader for Berkshire Hathaway.
Buffett said the big investment in Alphabet was his own choice.
It was not Abel's choice.
