The new rule means people don't need to ask the government to change forests. Some people think this is not good because it helps people who cut down trees when they should not.

He said the new law is bad because it makes forests private. But forests are for all people in the country.

People who support the new law say it will help farming in Peru.

A news group asked people who work on farms in Peru about a new rule. They also asked a woman politician named Maria Zeta Chunga who likes the rule. Only one person from the farms answered, but they said they did not want to talk.

Peru has a lot of Amazon rainforest, the second biggest after Brazil. It is good for the world's weather and has many different plants and animals. People also live there.

An old rule said you needed to ask before changing the forest. New rules make it easy to cut trees, even if you cut them before.

A court in Peru said yes to a new law. Some people did not like the law. They asked the court to look at it. The court changed some parts. But one part stayed. This part says old land changes are okay. People who know the law say this part is bad.

The court said sorry. Indigenous groups should speak about changes to the law. The Environment Ministry helps with forest areas.

A lawyer said the court agreed the law was bad for native people and they should have been asked. But the court still said yes to the worst part.

Olivier Coupleux from the EU in Peru said the new laws are not about cutting down trees for the EU.

Coupleux said in Peru that the new rule helps stop buying things from places where trees are cut down. It asks sellers to show where things like coffee, cocoa, and wood come from and if they are grown in a good way.

The groups cannot go to court in their country anymore. So, they will go to courts in other countries. They think this decision is a bad example for other countries.

Many Indigenous leaders think the law is bad for their land, people, and life.

Julio Cusurichi said this will help people take land and hurt nature in weak places.

Our people always took care of our land and the Earth, Cusurichi said.
